There is little I love more than bridal shows, & I'm already married! I guess it's because I've always been obsessed with planning the perfect wedding, even if it's not mine. I am sure many of our brides out there share my sentiment. What could be better than tons of great venues, gowns, cakes, florist, photographers & other amazing vendors under one roof to make your wedding planning, well, a piece of cake? Nothing! Okay, maybe there are some things, but I just can't wait for us to be at the Expo Bridal Show this Sunday & hope to meet all you newly engaged brides & grooms there too! Congratulations by the way!

We have several little surprises for our new bookings, but you will have to come to find out! I will just say this, it will save you a lot of money and be one less thing on your list to worry about, so you will want to be there to take advantage of this one time offer.

We are getting booked up fast for next summer, so don't hesitate to call us today if you want to see our gorgeous banquet rooms & outdoor reception area with a terrace. Either I, your charming blogger & Private Events Assistant, Ana, or my rock star Private Events Director, Julie are here all week (yes, you can certainly stop by on weekends too-we know this is usually the best time for you & your fiance because you are off work, but also you can often catch another wedding setup in progress & get a better feel for what the room would look like on your day).

Marilyn & Tracy's Blue Summer's Day Wedding Reception

All our weddings are special to us at Porter Valley & this one gave us a great deal of joy because we were celebrating one of our own! Porter Valley's Golf Pro, Tracy, had his wedding reception here this month with his beautiful bride Marilyn, the daughter of one of our beloved Banquet Captains, Maria. We were so honored to welcome their families & friends to witness their marital bliss & enjoy this gorgeous summer reception.

Guests were treated to a performance by this wonderful Mariachi group while enjoying their cocktails & congratulating the new Mr. & Mrs. on the TerraceThese welcoming cafe tables were setup by the band, which is always a good idea in case someone wants to sit down (obviously this group was having too much fun to sit!)Our professional wait staff making sure the final details are perfect before the party entered the roomThe sweetheart table looked gorgeous with an abundance of flowers; fit for the queen & king of this elegant affair

Marilyn & Tracy chose various shades of blue for their color scheme. The high centerpieces on glass vases complimented the decor & insured guests could see across the table to talk to each other

For favors, they chose personalized blue boxes with their names & wedding date with delictable assorted cakes covered in chocolate inside (I tried the cheesecake one-delish!). Perfect choice for such a sweet couple! The room before guests entered for dinner looked impicable. I am amazed at how any color choice goes so well with the room

Wendy & Gerardo's Brown & Gold Wedding Reception

Wedding season is in full swing at Porter Valley so we wanted to give you a quick glimpse at one of our favorite weddings this month.

Wendy & Gerardo were a lovely couple that chose brown & gold for their color scheme & we think it all looked amazing!

Guests signed in & wrote down their wishes for the couple on a custom photo album
The table numbers with photos from their engagement session added a sweet, personal touch. These cute wedding favors in brown boxes awaited the 140 guests at their tables
The four tiered cake from one of our preferred vendors Delicious Bakery was elegant & complimented the room's upscale decor perfectly

Our club's resident geese were out by the fountain enjoying the gorgeous day. This was the guests' view as they were on the Terrace having a cocktail & appetizers or seated inside having dinner in our Pinehurst Room
